Board Chair & Chief Executive Officer
Brad joined OCL Group Inc. in June 2011 as Chief Operating Officer and brings with him over 30 years of extensive pipeline construction, facilities and maintenance experience in the Oil Sands sector. Previous roles include General Manager-Field Services with an international pipeline construction company and co-owner of MSI Energy Services Inc., initially operated as a privately held company until 1999, when it transitioned to a publicly traded company. In 2001, MSI was purchased by an international pipeline construction company based out of Houston, Texas.
President & Chief Operating Officer
Peter E. Nickerson, P. Eng.
Peter joined OCL Group Inc. in August 2015 as Vice President Engineering Services. In this role, Peter led the development of the newly formed engineering services division and OCL into providing full EPC capability to our clients. Peter joined us from Excelsior Engineering, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. Peter also held senior executive roles in the oil sands sector for over 20 years. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering and attended Queen’s University School of Business Executive Program. He brings a wealth of knowledge in business growth strategy development and senior level project management capability supporting major project oil sands development.

With 30 years of experience in the forestry, mining, energy and wind industry, Gene is an industry leader in the Peace Region with a focus on execution excellence and client satisfaction. Gene provides leadership for our northeastern BC business.
Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel
Cory J. Fries
Cory Fries has served OCL Group Inc. since 2011, initially as an external legal advisor, progressing to shareholder and Board member. In October 2016, Cory joined OCL full time and has since been promoted to Chief Financial Officer & General Counsel. Cory leads the Finance, Legal, Project Controls, Payroll and Human Resources functions across all business units. Cory brings an extensive background in corporate law, private equity and venture capital, business operations and strategy, corporate finance and tax, mergers and acquisitions and corporate management. Cory has previously held executive level positions including Vice President, Investments, Legal and Executive Vice-President and General Counsel.
Vice President, Operations
Trevor joined OCL Group Inc. in May 2011 as General Manager supporting Oil Sands pipeline construction/maintenance initiatives. Trevor has an extensive background with over 20 years experience in pipeline construction and maintenance in oil sands new construction, major projects and maintenance. Prior to joining OCL, Trevor held the position of Site Manager with an international pipeline construction company with revenue responsibility for over $50 million on an annual basis.

Vice President, Finance
Gordon joined OCL Group Inc. in September 2015 as Senior Financial Accountant, following a tenure as Controller at a previous firm. Gordon brings over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas, finance and banking industries. He has gained valuable experience in previous positions including Turnaround Finance and Administration Manager and leading teams in building accounting processes, procedures and reporting.
Vice President, OCL Industrial Services Ltd.
Over 40 years experience in oil and gas industrial construction and maintenance, forestry, mining and wind energy. Dale’s commitment to driving value added solutions has created a loyal client base and craft workforce. The transferable skills across industry segments creates a successful proactive solution to project execution excellence.
General Manager, Oilsands
Over 10 years experience in oil and gas industrial construction and maintenance. Chris has held roles in project management, quality, safety and project controls. As General Manager, he oversees Northern Alberta operations. Chris holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta and is a certified PMP.
General Manager, Engineering & Project Services
Over 10 years experience in oil and gas industrial construction and engineering. Dustin has held roles including manager of projects and field services, project management, project controls, and project engineering. As General Manager, he oversees operations for engineering services and provides support to the organization for project services. Dustin holds a diploma from SAIT, is a Certified PMP and a registered P. Tech (Eng).
General Manager, Midstream & Civil
Kyle joined OCL with over 10 years construction management experience to lead project management and processes across the Midstream and Civil divisions. Kyle has led multiple project teams to deliver full cycle construction execution including civil, mechanical and electrical facets. He has a proven track record of delivering quality projects on time and under budget throughout Western Canada. Kyle holds a Civil Engineering Technology Diploma and various safety certifications with ACSA.
